Baritonальность. Andrew Nolen

Про американского баритона Эндрю Нолена я нашла только это:

Juilliard-trained American bass-baritone Andrew Nolen has performed a diverse repertoire in opera and concert venues spanning the globe, from Carnegie Hall to the Royal Lyceum Theater in Edinburgh. For the 2011-2012 season Andrew joins the ensemble of Theater Krefeld-Mönchengladbach in Germany, where he will sing the title role in Le Nozze di Figaro, Oroveso in Norma, Il Frate in Don Carlo, Leander in The Love of Three Oranges, and The Magister in Nielsen's Maskerade.

A favorite of composers and conductors alike, Mr. Nolen began 2010 with numerous contemporary music concerts, premiering new works with The Coterie, New York City’s Opera Mission, American Lyric Theater, Jody Oberfelder Dance Company, and Beth Morrison Projects. Also in 2010, he sang the role of Polinesso in Handel's Ariodante at the Princeton Festival, and his recording of Eugene Drucker's settings of Four Sonnets by Shakespeare was released by Bridge Records.

In 2009, Nolen performed with the Wooster Group in a production of Cavalli's La Didone on tour in New York, Los Angeles, and in Europe. Also in 2009, Andrew made his Carnegie Hall debut, performing as the bass soloist in Handel's Dettingen Te Deum with the Orchestra of St. Luke's; he sang the roles of Jahel and St. Corentin in Lalo's Le Roi d'Ys with the American Symphony Orchestra in Avery Fisher Hall; performed the world premiere of Eugene Drucker's Shakespeare Sonnets with the Escher Quartet at Symphony Space in New York; and was the bass soloist in Arvo Pärt's Passio with the Oberlin College Choir.

Mr. Nolen’s operatic roles include the title roles in Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Le Nozze di Figaro, Nick Shadow in The Rake’s Progress, Olin Blitch in Susannah, Alidoro in La Cenerentola, and Alexandr Petrovič in From the House of the Dead. He has performed with international theaters and companies such as the Brussels Kaaitheater, Rotterdamse Schouwburg, Edinburgh's Royal Lyceum Theater, Grand Théâtre du Luxembourg, Lyrique-en-Mer in France, Santa Fe Opera, Opera Theater of St. Louis, Dubai Festival Opera, the Wooster Group, and the Waverly Consort. Andrew can be heard as the bass soloist on Naxos of America's box set of Haydn's complete masses with maestra Jane Glover and the Rebel Orchestra. He has performed at the Tribeca Film Festival as a soloist in Arvo Pärt's Passio, which accompanied the premiere of Paulo Cherchi Usai's film of the same name.

Andrew trained at Oberlin Conservatory, the Cincinnati Conservatory, and the Juilliard Opera Center, and was an apprentice with Seattle Opera and Santa Fe Opera. Mr. Nolen has worked under the direction of distinguished stage directors and conductors including Colin Graham, Elizabeth LeCompte, Frank Corsaro, Julius Rudel, Robert Shaw, Ton Koopman, Jane Glover, Robert Spano, and Stephen Lord, and is frequently the bass-baritone choice of composers to premiere new works.

Мне очень понравился Арганте из Генделевского "Ринальдо":

И ещё: злодей Полинессо в "Ариоданте" Генделя. (Нет, я не считаю, что этот блондин отбирает хлеб у мецц-в-штанах;-))
